GC and Carrie May met as teenagers in 1989 and attended the University of Florida together. Exactly 10 years later they got married.

In 1993, GC co-founded (with Marshall Lowe) a concert promotion, festival production, and artist management company. Between 1993 and 2001 “GAMA Productions” brought hundreds of A-list acts to the small college town of Gainesville, FL.

GC continued to work in the music business until 2001 when he switched from promoting bands to building brands. He spent 15 years as an executive VP in International business before returning to music (with Marshall Lowe) in 2021.
